Oct 15, 2011· After reading a ton of posts here, I have come to the conclusion that engraving with a 3/64 or 1/16 Ball nose end mill at a depth of .005 is hard to beat. Trying to figure out how much of the cutter will be working with a .005 DOC? I think the 3/64 would be .029 and the 1/16 would be .034, can somebody check my math to see if it is correct?
